Raj Sandhu

Raj Sandhu, Executive Director of Masala Ministries, was raised in a staunchly Sikh home in Kenya.  During his early years his mother became a follower of Yesu Masih under the ministry of Billy Graham.

At first Raj found it difficult to reconcile the ‘white man’s religion’ and his own faith.  Finally, one evening he came to the realization of Yesu's personal love for him and committed his life to following Him. Since then, Raj has been in the ministry 27 years and today is the Pastor of Meadow Creek Community Church, an AGC church plant in Ancaster, Ontario.

Pastor Raj’s heart has been moved by the rapidly changing picture of Canada.  As a response to the new face of Canada, Raj founded Masala Ministries in 1997.

Raj is married to Damini, a pharmacist, and has 2 children, Priya and Sameer.

You are invited to attend a service at Meadowcreek Community Church, currently meeting at Gordon Price Elementary School, 11 Guildwood Drive in Hamilton. Sunday services take place at 11:00 am.  www.meadowcreekchurch.ca

Sunil Kapur

Sunil is a fourth generation Kenyan Indian, who was raised a Hindu and first learned about his Guru Yesu Masih, Jesus in a childrens club in Kenya when he was a child.

Religion for Sunil meant trying to take two paths at one time; his new faith in the Truth while trying to hold onto his parent's affection and identity as an Indian whose belief was "all paths leads to God". As a young teen,  Sunil was challenged when his club leader posed the dilemma form the Holy scriptures that "You cannot serve two masters". From that point, Sunil committed his life to his present Guru Yesu Masih - Jesus the Messiah, the Savior

Following graduation from seminary with a Masters in world Religions & Missions,  Sunil Pastored at Fellowship Bible Church, the only church in Kenya building relationships between Africans and South Asians & reaching out to South Asians with the love of their Guru. During this time he also founded African Asian Concern Kenya (ASCKEN) whose mission is to bring Africans and Asians together, understanding each other through the love of Yesu Mashi .

Sunil and his family moved to Canada in 2006 and soon after joined the Masala Ministries team. Sunil has been working as an urban social worker with a desire to  help the people in this area grow in love towards each other and our creator. As a partner in this project with the AGC, CrossWorld supports Sunil and his family as the mission’s first community workers to the city of Toronto!

Sunil is married to Sheri and they have 3 children: Karan,  Amar and Rohan.
